Ollie

Hi, people call me Ollie.  I’m young and spry at a year and an half.  At first I didn’t feel well when I came to live with Maximus (big foster brother) and Bella (big foster sister).  They nuzzled me when I needed attention and shared their cookies with me.  Now that I feel better, I love to play ball with my foster brother and sister.  When my foster mommy bounces a tennis ball for me, I can jump up high and catch it in the air!  But I don’t like to bring the ball back.  I enjoy running around with it in my mouth playing keep away.  I’ve also learned how to catch treats.  I can even catch better than Maximus and Bella.

Other things I enjoy include turkey sandwiches, being brushed, being in the company of other dogs, and being petted.  I stand very still when I have my coat brushed.  I know it will make it nice and shiny.  I never beg for attention, I know that if I sit quietly, humans will pet me for my good behavior.

When my foster mommy takes me to the park, I am very gentle with humans.  Children and adults like to pet me and tell me how handsome I am.  Occasionally, I will bark at other dogs at the park, but my foster mommy is helping me to learn that I may only play with other dogs if the humans allow it.  One of my favorite parts of going to the park is going for a ride in the car!  I love to lie down in the back seat and look out the window.  I don’t jump or walk around when the car is moving.

At first I’m shy, but once you get to know me, I’m a sweet quiet boy who needs a loving home.  Until then, I’ll be happily waiting with my foster parents and siblings.
