Adopted

Suzi is 13 months old she's very happy and bright-eyed and full of life. She still has some puppy behaviors but there are times when she does lie around and sleep just a normal adult dog.

She gets along well with my two older canine senior citizens, without any challenges to their authority, although she wishes they'd be more playful. She also accepts that they need my attention at times, and is willing to let them have it without jealousy.

She is very long-legged, and moves better than most retrievers I've seen, with a very springy, graceful and effortless carriage. She will be a good companion for long walks around Town Lake, or long walks in your neighborhood. I haven't taken her swimming, but I would bet anything she will love that.

She's very much a retriever, and loves to chase after tennis balls in the back yard, fetching and dropping them at your feet for as long as you can stand it. She's also got some very spectacular aerial moves - full 360's and such - and would probably make a great Frisbee dog.

She also loves soft chew toys, and has a large collection that she enjoys keeping subjugated.

She is not much of a barker, and never barks out of boredom but she will let you know when there are intruders in the vicinity. Suzi sleeps very quietly straight through the night on her dog bed in my bedroom. She is well house-trained, and has had no accidents. She is OK staying in her crate when she is home alone, but this girl will need a family who is willing to give her the exercise she needs and the play time and
attention she deserves.

As you can see from her pictures, she is a very pretty dog, and is very friendly in person. She is also extremely smart. If you choose to adopt her, you will be getting a wonderful lifetime companion, and a real sweetheart of a dog. If I didn't have two dogs already, you wouldn't even have this opportunity.
