Melanie

When they asked me to describe myself for ... is this a dating service or ??? ... it took me a while to figure out what to say. How do you describe yourself in just a few words? I know .Princess, looking for a castle.

I am a very sweet, one and a half year old female, found in San Antonio and rescued from the shelter. I'm a very quiet and calm girl, hard to imagine for someone of my age, but I seem to possess a wisdom and maturity beyond my years. I get along wonderfully with other dogs in the house, but being a princess, I do like my subjects to treat me with the respect I so deserve. I must have been cast under the spell of a mean ol' witch because I seem to have lost the memory of much of my puppyhood years. I'm not very keen on playing and I'd much prefer to watch the antics of others. Since it seems to make my foster mom happy, I will chase
after a ball or woobie but then I'll just lie down next to it and protect it from any would-be woobie-snatchers. To be honest I'd much rather cuddle up and be told what a wonderful little lady I am. Even though I don't remember (that darn spell again) I must have gone to some fine finishing schools because I have impeccable house-manners. Counter-surfing, sleeping on sofas (why, when the bed is so much more comfortable!), opening up and nosing into medicine cabinets and chewing on inappropriate things are things I just
don't do.

If you're looking for a sweet, young princess to fill your castle and heart with love, that would be me!

Update 03/12/03:

It was inevitable. A golden princess entering the kingdom run by two rowdy, yet still relatively refined, gentleman-like, golden princes. The hope was that she would smooth out their slightly rough edges, bringing them closer to their title of royalty.

She was outnumbered.

Melanie has blossomed into a wonderful, playful, goofy, true golden child. She's laid down her sceptre and exchanged it for tennis balls, woobies, and (gulp) wrestling. She still retains some of her more demure, laid-back nature, but she's become a curious, adventure-seeking instigator of fun! It's been a joy to see this girl finally show signs of enjoying being a youngster.
