Jax
is a gentle Golden at 62 pounds and two years old. He is true to his Breed with
such a soft and loving demeanor. He spent the first two years of his life crated
in a garage and came to us a little timid, a little skinny and a lot thirsty.
Now in his foster home, Jax is cozy and couldn't be happier. He loves to snuggle
and give small wet kisses. For as shy as Jax once pretended to be, he sure does
a good job of playing and lounging with his dog-buddy Bailey.
This past weekend, Jax was excited to help us decorate the Christmas tree and
hang garland. The strands of lights especially impressed him. Jax is so handsome
when he naps on the rug in front of the toasty fire --where the stockings are
now hung on the chimney with care.
Jax has recently discovered interesting furry friends on the Animal Planet
channel and is also eager to chase real squirrels in the back yard-- he can move
fast and he stays low. If you ask me, Jax could also be a professional
tail-chaser.
Jax is very well behaved. He doesn't bark, steal socks, chew, or dig. He treats
his toys nicely. On the rare occasion that he jumps, he has a feather light
touch. Jax has some training too-he responds to "sit", "down", "come", "no" and
"walk"--Jax loves a good walk!
We are certain that Jax is going to do well with caring parents, or even in a
family with dogs and grown children. With a couple of doggie meals and a few big
hugs, Jax will make his forever family complete.
