Adopted
Bear
is a super sweet 10 month old boy. His former family was overwhelmed and could
not hug and play with Bear as much as any loving puppy deserves. He came to GRR
and moved into his new foster home a little over two weeks ago.
Because
Bear spent most of his life tied in the backyard, he is now on his best behavior
and he is discovering all of the interesting things that exist inside the house.
Although timid for the first few days, Bear is now courageous enough to
investigate all appliances that make funny noises, mirrors with his own
reflection, and he has even mastered those crazy stairs.
Bear is a big, beautiful, reddish-blonde, 79-pound puppy. He has huge ears, paws
and a coal-black nose. Amazingly, he still has a lot of growing to do and when
he grows up, he is going to be the most handsome dog ever. Although, I am
not sure if its possible for Bear to become cuter than he is now.
Bear
went swimming for the first time the other day when he and his pal, Bailey the
dog, explored Red Bud Isle. Bailey taught him to not only swim, but fetch in the
water too. Bear loves to swim and fetch now and thinks this is his most favorite
job in the world. Bear can fetch in the water as well as on land. He will fetch
anything the ball, the kong, and oh yes he'll sneak a sock or towel every now
and then. With your happiest voice to call him back though, Bear is pleased to
bring his finds straight to you.
Bear is very calm, sweet, and eager to please. He is so loving that his favorite
chin rest is your own shoulder, knee, arm... whatever. If he can be close to
you, he is content. With his pal Bailey the dog, he is a wriggling, bouncy
hairball.
Bear
loves a bath, and can even find a way to sneak into your own shower. He is now
perfectly potty trained, but hasn't found the best way to let you know he'd like
to go out yet. You definitely know where this guy gets his name when on the rare
chance you hear him bark. You may turn around expecting to see an actual "bear",
but no, it's just our little half-pint.
Bear is our first foster dog, and he will be so difficult to give up. He is the
sweetest dog ever and deserves a family or someone that can love him to pieces.
