Sasha is a 1 year old stray found in San Antonio and a Good Samaritan took her in, but he couldn't keep her because he was in an apartment without a backyard. GRR was contacted and Sasha is with us now.
Sasha is almost a year old and she definitely has a spunky puppy personality. She is very vocal and she knows what she wants. She does this cute howl like bark when she sees you or at mealtime. It is almost as if she’s singing. I do it back to her and get her going. She likes to play and my kids love it. She still nips a bit, but it doesn't hurt. We are working on breaking that habit and she is getting better. We are also working on her manners. She sticks her nose on the counter or in the trash but she gets corrected. She needs a home where someone has time to work with her and can handle her energy. It is like having a baby around. She can be a stinker, but she brings a lot of joy. We have fallen in love with her.
She is a swimmer, she will swim in a pool or anywhere she can. Sasha has no fear. She will get on the trampoline with my boys and play with them. We all got on the trampoline this weekend and I have never laughed so much in my life. She likes to go on walks, but she will pull (we are working on this). She will snuggle up next to our dog and they bask in the sun together. We crate her at night but she is housebroken. She knows sit and shake and is learning the meaning of NO and Drop it.
Sasha is a very smart Golden but she still needs more training. She gets along great with my dog, so she would be good with other pets. She hasn't been around cats, but I bet she would be okay although she might chase them just to play.
Update on Sasha:
Sasha is a total sweetheart! She will be your best friend and is very eager to please and learn. She loves to follow us around and just be in the same room with us. She is all puppy and loves to play outside with other dogs and then take power naps. Sasha would make a great "Frisbee" dog - she can make mid-air catches and loves to run, run, run. She does very well on the leash with a gentle halti-lead. Take her to the water and she will enjoy fetching water toys (we are still working on her bringing them back!) She is a fearless yet elegant swimmer. Sasha is very well mannered and hasn't need very much correction at all. However, it is best to keep tasty treats such as throw pillows, blankets and fuzzy slippers out of her reach. This sweet puppy will make a great addition to any home - Sasha gets along well with every person and every dog she has met.
