Update from her foster family

Samantha is a remarkably friendly, stable and lovable Golden.  To put a one-word description on her, I would say loyal.  I believe she truly cares about the family, especially my wife.  We just feel more comfortable with her in the room.   Samantha just watches over us.

Sam came from a small ranch estate in the piney woods of East Texas.  She was an outside dog with very little house time.  She did not know the leash and was raised with a kennel mate all her life.  When her owners could no longer give the dogs the love and attention they needed, we picked them up and brought them to Austin.  Within 3 hours, Samantha’s life changed from running outside to being an inside dog, from a life long kennel mate to strange dogs, cats and people, from chasing skunks to baths in tomato juice.

And through it all, came a beautiful personality, a great housedog offering love and loyalty.  Samantha is doing great learning house rules like not eating my Cheerios before I can sit down, walking on the lead, cuddling on the bed.  She sleeps in her crate, loves her back yard and feels right at home in the middle of all family activities.  She is now playing ball, working on fetch and figuring out how to get the cat to play.  She has never had an accident and lets us know when she wants to go out.  All this in 7 days.  I wonder what she can accomplish in a month at your home?

So if your looking for a an adaptable dog that will adopt your family, Samantha is the Golden for you.
