Lewis  was e on an expedition at the lake but it appears their owners went home without them. Taken in by Good Samaritans, they looked for their owners for over a week and they could not be located. Lewis, the Golden Retriever is ~7 and as sweet and handsome as can be. No, your eyes don't deceive you, Clark is an ~5 year old, BLACK Lab! Clark arrives under the "companion clause" in our by-laws which allows us to take non-Goldens in cases where they are companions to a GR that is entering our program. It just wouldn't have been fair to have Clark exploring the shelter alone..... (Note: Lab rescue was full so his only alternative would have been the shelters) Both boys are happy, healthy and very nice. They love to play ball and are quite calm and gentlemanly in nature. They can be placed separately and so far are doing great in separate foster homes. So, if there's only room for a handsome senior or a lovely black dog with a heart of gold in your home, let us know! Watch for more as we get to know them better.
