Adopted

Thunder  is going to make some lucky family a great Christmas present.  He is house broken, pretty much aware of house rules, loves cats (especially when they run) and is trying not to pull the lead when out walking.  Thunder now sits and waits for you to put the lead on but then will pull you out the door if your not ready.

Thunder likes to swim.  That is like saying the Pope is interested in Catholicism.  When we got near a bar ditch after the last rain, I had to drop the lead or I would have been swimming with him.  He was GOING SWIMMING even if he had to drag a 200# man around with him!

Thunder is good in the house.  He plays kind of rough with our 1 year old Golden.  But when he is in the house alone, he is a people dog.  Loves to sleep at your feet or if you don't stop him; beside you on the couch.  He is crate trained and sleeps through the night with no problem.  He does not beg for food and is generally not interested in people food.

On the positive side, you can name Thunder any name you want.   On the down side, he does not seem to know his name.  Thunder is a runner and will slip between your legs at the door an haul @%% faster than you can.  Yelling his name while chasing him on foot did not get any response at all.  The saving grace is he likes riding more than running so once we got near him in the car, he hopped right for the pleasant ride home.  Of course I may never be the same after the chase down the block.

I do not think I have ever met such an inquisitive dog as Thunder.   If you are putting up the Christmas tree or doing any work at his level, he will be right in the middle of it.   He is currently wearing white paint from my current home improvement project.  He is going to be a hoot on Christmas eve opening presents....

Thunder will make some family a wonderful dog.  He may be a little too big and brash right now for a family with a small child, but he will fit in with older children wonderfully.  Did I mentioned he will make a perfect Christmas present....  He is a keeper.
