Adopted

Solomon is just a sweet happy kid that loves to play!  He is a handsome boy with a big blocky head and a lanky 'teenage' body.  He is 11 months old and comes to us from a number of homes actually.  He lived with his first family until May when they moved away and could not take him.  He was then taken in by a family who did not have enough time for him.  Then older couple took care of him until he got into GRR.

He had good care and training with his first family as he is completely housebroken and very good in the house.  He loves to retrieve anything - shoes, socks, balls, toys, etc.  He is very good about giving up the wrong things and playing nicely with the right ones.  He loves big smoked knuckle bones and tennis balls.

He is crate trained and knows his basic commands  He does not jump up on you and walks fairly well on a leash, although he does pull at first.  He loves everyone, kids, adults and other dogs.  He got into an altercation with a cat who scratched him at his previous home so I don't know if he was chasing the cat or not.  He loves to play and tumble with my GR and is very gentle with my kids.

He loves to lay his head in your lap for pets and rubs and waits patiently for his dog biscuits.  His only naughty habit I've seen so far is counter surfing.  The other night, my son brought home a Cinnabon in a box and set it on the counter.  About an hour later I saw a streak of gold sneak by with something in his mouth.  When I investigated, I found Solomon looking quite guilty with the roll in his mouth!

He also appears to like water and tried to climb in the bathtub with my daughter.  He will need to go to obedience class to learn to be a good canine citizen and already has a great start on the basics
