Adopted

Honey  is a sweet five year old female turned in by her owners because they became too old to care for her any longer.  Honey is great with kids and was raised as a housedog around the grandkids.  She is housebroken, crate trained and knows quite a bit of basic obedience and polite manners.

Honey was shaved by unknowing owners and we are looking forward to seeing her beautiful coat when it grows back.  Honey is healthy, heartworm free and ready for her new home.

Honey gets this glowing report from her foster Mom, Lacy of Any Dog Can training:

"She is really a nice dog and will be a great addition to anyone's family.  She is housebroken, calm and polite and is doing sit, down, leave it, shake hands, retrieving, and come when called.

"The only things she is lacking in are:  stay at the door (we are working on it, but she is still trying to push out the door), and getting into the crate (obviously never been in one and hates it).  She is a finicky eater, I think she must have been fed exclusively on canned food before but she does like dog biscuits...   She is doing much better on jumping up on us, although she still forgets herself once in awhile, but not bad at all.

"She is VERY smart, very willing and the nicest one I have had here so far.  Can't even imagine why they would get rid of her?????  I think she would be okay with little kids or anyone else.  She does love to play tug of war, her favorite game -- she carries a rope toy around all the time and nudges me to play with her."
