Adopted
Minnie
is an 8-month-old female turned into Animal Control (along with her brother
Ramsey) by an owner who could no longer care for them.
She's sweet and nice and everything a pup should be and her health check
was great!
Here's her foster update from her first day:
"Minnie
is a precious young girl who is very dainty, and like most goldens, thrives
on attention.
She loves to sit as close to you as possible and tuck her nose under
your arm or chin as though she were embarrassed.
She just can't seem to get close enough!
She follows on the heels of my five-year-old daughter Casey like they
were stuck together with glue.
She even helped herself to the couch and the bed while Casey was on them!
She seemed right at home on the furniture like it is something that is
just SUPPOSED to be, but I will have to be the "MEAN GUY" and convince
her otherwise.
"She
is having a little difficulty getting accustomed to our 1 year old male golden
Nick, but has shown great improvement in such a short time.
If he wasn't so big and pushy in wanting to play with her she might adjust
a little faster.
But, we are going slowly and she's doing great!
She was a bit scared and nervous to begin with but now she has started
to actually PLAY while she is outside.
Not bad for 8 hours… At one point, my daughter climbed up the mountainside
of her playscape and Minnie did too!
And then when my daughter slid down the slide, Minnie did too!
What a Kodak moment and me without my camera!!!
"We
haven't yet found any specific toy(s) that Minnie is really interested in, but
we'll keep looking.
So far there has been no interest in playing ball or Frisbee.
There is no interest in bones or any other chew toy.
Seems like the only thing she really wants is someone to give her their
undivided attention and love her as much as she would love them.
She will make any family a wonderful, loving pet."
