Adopted
Madison
who
is about to turn seven, comes to us from the San Antonio area from owners who
could no longer care for her. She
gets this report form her foster Mom:
“Madison is a sweetheart. She is extremely affectionate. All you need
to do is look her direction and she is up and that tail is wagging (and a fast
wag it is)!! She is very loving
and is the type of dog that follows you around wherever you go. She walks well
on a leash, loves to fetch the ball, and runs around in the backyard with our
dogs. Her favorite thing is fetching the paper. Let her out the front door,
it is down the steps to the paper, which she grabs and runs back with as soon
as she can so that she can get her "goodie."
“The highlight of my day yesterday was sending her out for the paper,
except she went ahead and retrieved my Fed Ex package instead. She got a goodie
regardless!
“We crated her the first couple nights, and she was fine, but she
is so well behaved in the house that we are not even doing that now, she prefers
her new spot on Shelby's XMAS dog bed. She does make midnight visits on our
bed, but we don't mind that at all since she is so cuddly. She is housetrained,
good with strangers and children, and gets along fine with our two dogs. She
occasionally jumps on the couches for naps, but comes down quickly when called.
She knows NO, sit, stay (sort of), come, leave-it, and walk nice.
“She is very food motivated, and begs quite a bit. She loves chewys
and the kong too. All in all she is a wonderful and sweet dog.
“She actually turns 7 in a couple days according to her vet paperwork,
maybe we can get her into her new home for her birthday!.”
