Mattie

GRR Mattie was a four-year-old female found wandering the streets of Laredo.  GRR called me about her and I immediately, and excitedly, accepted and rushed to pick her up.

Even though Mattie was my seventh golden and first female, I quickly fell in love with her and we had a great life together for more than six years.  Mattie was diagnosed with hepatic cancer in February 2023.  I took her through chemo which she handled well and Mattie felt great for almost a year.  Unfortunately, she died suddenly of heart failure in April of 2024.

I thank GRR for allowing me to care for Mattie as she gave me one of the greatest experiences of my life.  Mattie was an angel, loved by everyone who knew her and she spread joy every day of her life.
